Redefining Boutique Luxury in Sydney

The EVE Hotel Sydney is a 102-room boutique hotel built on the site of the original Wunderlich Ltd factory — a 19th-century industrial complex at the crossroads of Redfern and Surry Hills, two of Sydney's most creatively charged neighborhoods. Developed by TOGA Group, operated by TFE Hotels, and designed by SJB's Adam Haddow with interiors by George Levissianis, the hotel anchors Wunderlich Lane: a curated lifestyle precinct of dining, retail, wellness, and independent businesses designed to function as much like a neighborhood as a destination. The brand needed to match both the architecture and the address.

Considered led the complete brand development for The EVE Hotel Sydney — naming, strategy, visual identity, typography, illustration, signage, and a full suite of guest-facing collateral. We shaped the storytelling framework that positioned The EVE not as a hotel in a neighborhood but as a hotel that is the neighborhood — a place where the creative energy of Surry Hills and Redfern finds a physical home rather than a backdrop. That framework then extended into the hotel's full marketing program: advertising, email campaigns, social media, and digital assets, all carrying the same design-forward, culturally grounded voice.

The name carries its own logic. An eve is the moment of anticipation before something extraordinary unfolds — the right idea for a hotel built at the intersection of two of Sydney's most vital communities. Rooftop restaurant Lottie, European-style Bar Julius, and a 20-metre pool overlooking Surry Hills complete a property that opened in February 2025 as one of the city's most considered new hospitality destinations. Every element of the brand was ready to hold it together.
